If my blood is my ink than my veins are dry I think,
There is no rhythm, no rhyme, I feel I'm wasting my time,
Looking for a way out, picking up my quill but having doubts,
Will I write or will the paper before remain white,

In my heart of hearts I feel depressed, I ask the Lord is this a test,
Has he taken back the gift he gave, that's like beating the pope with his on cane?
So I push forth in hopes this poem will open the door,
Poetry is like a drug, I need my fix like a 45 needs it's slug,

Where's my inspiration, I stare at this paper in anticipation,
No words to write, it's like I'm going 12 rounds in a heavyweight fight,
The words won't come, what has happen to The Phantom,
It's writer's block, what must I do to release this lock?

It's a case of writer's block, my pencil is cocked,
The words fight to be release but that is not to be,
Emotions are trapped, my flow is flat,

I am glad to you see again with a nice poem..
my dear friend you have not lost that poetic flavour..though you say your flow is flat..
In every stanza I found atleast one beautiful similie..among them the most hilarious one is "beating the pope with his o(w)n cane"..
I could never imagine such a superb phrase.
O.k, friend..I can say you have no problem of poetic inspiration..you have that burning fire..
only thing you require is you have to throw some dry-wood in it.
just break that lock of the store room in your mind..you can find some memories of past actions, experiences,and thoughts..
you can share with us..

Pretty dang good for a block.
It's frustrating when you want to write but can't. As painful as it is to say this, but often you just have wait.
