Array ( [sid] => 148902 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Red [time] => 2009-04-03 19:26:24 [hometext] => I wrote this while recovering from a girl, the love of my life who I lost to Cocaine. I was so in love so bad with her that I haven't been able to recover since she has been gone. This poem is about how I felt every second of the day. [bodytext] => I sit here t'was 4 passed the hour
I see red everywhere
My gold painted heart shines red
My eyes look but do not see
That which what made the heart gold

Only now tis red, bleeding on the walls
This yellow paint sees sorrow, feels pain
I reach out for an image, tis red
Tis red and purple colors that seem only black.

Once those colors soaked the sun then exposes..
Searching beneath and above without trying
Once my heart was gold, now it bleeds
Days pass by or days seeming years
Thirst, a feeling that is becoming life
To live, only to hope to drink the red wine again
To Quench thou red golden heart
It beat to the drum of thirst unquenchable it seems by any other drink.

A tongue looking for its groove
Only to know that this groove has been malformed
It doesn't fit anymore, merely a red gold hearted bleeding tongue thirsty for taste
A taste it will never swallow again
A taste it swallowed again and again
A red taste of gold grooves which the tongue once matched.

Swirling round and round
One time they danced to a drum
This drum is broken into halfs of half
Shattered to reddened gold pieces
beginning to tarnish and tarnishing to an end

An end to a beginning, a beginingless end
Now seems like tommorow and tomorrow is a year from now
One tear for each year
I feel the years, once days, never ending [comments] => 1 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 13 [informant] => kato-wako [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

First, welcome to our global family here at YPDC.
I can already see that you have remarkable talent.
I've never been tempted by cocaine, (thank God).
I am addicted to cigerettes tho a dr. once told me that it's harder to get off cigerettes than Herion.
So I'm familar with addidtions.
The way I see things is that we must change for ourselves, and luv our selves before we can luv others or receive luv.
Look at the pecies in the borken mirror.
Keep the peices that are worth keeping and let God do the healin.
I took 8 years to learn to luv myself. Now I can luv others.
Keep writing as there's much healing in writing. I know you know this.
Big huggs, prayer, peace, joy,
emy
