And when you smiled I began to think
We have become friends’ good ones at that
But there was something hidden under my hat

I never did see it until yesterday
When we were serious instead of in play
That’s when it struck me, reality set
You’ve been a part of me since the day we met

Now that I know you a little bit more
I am hoping there is something else in store
I don’t know myself exactly how I feel
But I know this feeling is very much real

I want to find you and to use my heart
In hind I have felt like this from the start
You are so beautiful in more ways than one
If I make you happy then my day feels done

I feel no future when you are not near
I want to protect you and call you dear
I hope to see you happy in all that I do
And to explore a future with just me and you
