that makes me think people hate me
My guess is that over time
I've got it in my mind

That I'm just a nobody
I don't know why but it's better than being a somebody
I'd rather be in the shadows
that be known and have my face shown

I'm nobody that's all you need to know
As long as you keep that in mind
I'll get my way and never have to let my face show
I just get to blend in and waste time

but why do I still think people hate me
I don't want to fit in
what could it be
do they think being nobodys a sin

I just don't understand why I think so
Do they hate me I doubt it but who knows
I'm nobody to them anyway
And I like it that way

but my question remains
why do I think people hate me

I like it and I always like poems that ask questions and especially while making a statement.

So here's my take on the ol' nobody thing. Nobodies are totally nonexistent. As in nothing really is something. everyone is somebody and everything's something. So if we talk about a nobody, he/she is a somebody. If we talk about nothing, we're talking about something. So, sorry to say, Mr. Brent, ;-) you're somebody and you will always be somebody to someone. Ah, such is life. There will always be those that care about you.. like you, and those that don't care or may not like you. But hey, this makes a great statement that you wish to be you and only you, instead of being someone you're not.

Nicely done.

Tim

Well done, friend.
There's probably an underlieing reason or maybe a happeninging some where in your life that makes you feel this way.
In time you will find your answers.
Hang tuff, my friend.
Huggs, blessings,
