Ground a slushy mud mess, a trade off for the beauty.
Spring flowers poking their heads up
soft through the ground, a sigh of spring and newness all around.

In the midst of gloomy days and uncertainty vast
I daydream cares away to my other land.
Where the meadow grasses sway and roses freely bloom
love of life and nature and butterflies all around.

Rose petals in my hair and butterflies fluttering wings
and for this very moment my soul is free to sing.
The sky an azure blue and warmth of sun upon my face
and these moments captured in my soul, bringing meaning to the rat race.

Wind teasing at my hair and a new found freedom everywhere.
Fragrance of the rose, cool creek water trickling over bared toes.
What a perfect place a mind can create a meditation all its own
a curling smile covering my face, and all is right for now.

Lost inside my thoughts and a silly little poem
where I wander the lines and the meadows
free to roam and roam, and my kiss upon the breeze
and my laughter in the air, butterflies drifting past me everywhere

a simply beautiful, enchanting write. this bit was the particular highlight in a masterpiece:

Wind teasing at my hair and a new found freedom everywhere.
Fragrance of the rose, cool creek water trickling over bared toes.
What a perfect place a mind can create a meditation all its own
a curling smile covering my face, and all is right for now.

great work.

Your title "Butterfly daydreams" said to me; "You who dream, just take a peek" and WOWsers am I glad I did.

It's elegant, gorgeous, filled with delightful femininity and intuitive thought.

This one is truly beautiful and dreamed by your lovely penchant for words.

Very well done.

Another beautifully enchanting write my friend. And I know exactly what you mean. My mind has been my secret hiding place for so long now...the one place I can go running to where everything seems to go right. Very well written

Great title. You described it so well. These sort of daydreams can be useful on rainy days. Enjoyable read.
