Most time spent out on the road, rarely seeing a glimpse of this place.

Adjustment, rearranged, looking around,
and the city noise, sirens blaring every few seconds
letting my ears know, it is life as we know it.

Woke up to another rainy morning, ground soggy
a potty walk in the soaked grass, feet sinking
and the city noise, constant traffic, a heart beat of its own.

I hear no big truck rumbles, or load announcements,
no truck stops, no cb chatter, gears grinding.
I smell no diesel just gasoline smells
to many cars cruising by, main streets at 50 mph driving.

Traded being tucked in at night in the sleeper
all hugged together on a snug little bed
to a motel room, with noisy neighbers
ya know the saying,"they only come out at night"
and the parties start, and by midnight the world is rocking.

I lay awake, listening, then more sirens
no big truck rumble to purr me to sleep
and Leshay barks, guess she tells them in her own way
shut up fools to much city noise.

Life time movie network a treat for a change
so I veg and get lost in fantasy tv world for awhile.
Some dark red wine, a bottle someone kindly handed me
and a bit of a buzz, it is drawing near midnight
awaiting the new party to start up once more......

lol.... nice imagery. I can so relate. I think you already know by now I can so relate, having lived across a field from a police station. we were in a house that seemed like it was literally made of cardboard... sorta of like those motels. We were sandwiched in between to main roadways, and yes, 50 was too slow for every body in that 40 m.p.h. zone stretch. Ah, your experiences brought back memories for me.

Loved this Michelle.

Again, I am praying it gets better for all of us. Poor lil puppy having to go in the soaked grass. :-(
