to greet the morning sun,
I figure, I will be sleeping
Enough when I’m gone…
Everyone should enjoy the dew
The early morning rays
Feel the warmth on their lips.
It consumes you,
Like when the moon overtakes
The sun on a solar eclipse.
They don’t know what their missing
sleeping until noon.

The singing of the birds
It echo’s the soul,
Above all,
Its better than any Rock N Roll
At some late concert hall.
It sweeps you away
It’s the beginning,
of a brand new day
Its like entering
A hot spring,
On a cold winter day.

It’s the start
Of a brand new day
When nothing has gone wrong so far
the time right before life’s fast pace
whisks you away
It’s the morning dove…
Comparable to rolling in the hay
With someone you love.
I feel the morning ray..
Come rushing my way
Bring me hope,
Expectations undreamed of…

spectacular writing. it was incisive, poignant, eloquent and beautiful. i particularly enjoyed this bit:

'It’s the morning dove…
Comparable to rolling in the hay
With someone you love.'

great analogy!

I would not say I have ever been a morning person because the night owl forever resides within me but....

The times I am up before the sun peaks over the mountains I can say I love that moment of calm, when the world is almost still and everything is new.

You captured these moments delightfully my friend.

Hugs you

Michelle

I feel that if I have to do something, get up early and do it...and this is the perfect poem for early mornings. I mean, it just gets you right into a joyful spirit! Great inspirational poem!
