Array ( [sid] => 148337 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I carry your love [time] => 2009-03-06 13:00:54 [hometext] => In memory of Dave Burgner who passed at 3:30 am....... I miss you already sweet uncle [bodytext] => Maybe you are the lucky one, sweet uncle of mine.
A journey on the paths of this cruel world have ended the time.
I miss you, the sweet man that held so much love.
I shall carry your love with me, and hope you watch over from above.

My words and thoughts all tangled up, living in my world of blue.
I wish I could come to say goodbye, there is nothing I can do.
So here where I sit and think of you, and the kindness in your heart.
Another good man now gone from my life, it pains and stings that we now part.

I wish you well on the new journey, and I carry your love near me close.
Washington rains fall once more, a constant rain in my soul.
I think of you and I miss you, I know now you are at rest.
Another star angel to watch over from heaven, my dear uncle you were always the best.

The note to this poem is a bit tacky, my writing is losing its way.
But I know that you know what I mean, and the thoughts I try to convey.
So I carry your love with me, and try to hold it close,
lost in a flurry of life, it is you that I love the most.

Michelle, I am very sorry to hear about your loss but you said something that to me is very thought provoking. You say maybe he is the lucky one. I quite often wonder if our time here is like some sort of sentence.

Anyway, I am sure he will love this and hold it dear no matter where he is at. It is, after all, a beautiful eulogy.

Take care and blessings to you.

Tim
