Array ( [sid] => 148265 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Almost Grown Child [time] => 2009-03-02 13:58:43 [hometext] => this is like a family/angry poem...so please read. thanks. [bodytext] => when i am in need of a hero
you're not there
when you want me to grown up
you're not listening to me
all you care about is
you, you, you
what about me?
what about wondering how your child will survive
in this crazy world we call home
you and i have different paths about my future
i wanna go this way, and you want me to go that way
the only way this will work is if
i go your way
thats what i'm getting out of all this.
but what good is it
to grow up if you keep treating me like a child
if you are not going to support me
with my decisions
then i guess
we are not family anymore
it hurts when your own mom
doesn't support you in your choices in life
thats like ice cold
its even colder that watching divorce right before your eyes
its that cold
so i am still wondering
will i ever make my mom proud with my choices
or will my future chidren grow up without a grandma?
you tell me... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 6 [informant] => PreciousKitten [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

This is really sad and heart-breaking...and although I cannot say I understand how you feel, I have an idea. You may want to check out my poem called, "The Irony Of Life" ..
I hope your Mom made the right choice...
If you need to talk, please feel free to PM me..
