My senses tingle with the urgency to run, to flee.
Pure terror takes over and I know I will be killed.
My feet refuse to move, my heart beats harder in my chest.
I don't want to die, I have so much to live for.
But why can't I run, why can't I fight.
I am stuck here unable to move one way or the other.
Terror has frozen me in place, I am afraid of either way.
To fight and lose, to be broken and maimed.
Or to run like a coward, and hope that I can out run it forever.
I don't want to be a coward, but I don't want to be hurt.
So close now, I can hears its breathing.
Its single desire to kill me.
I know I must decide or die right here where I stand.
I can hear my friends and family, I don't know if they urge me on or yell for me to flee.
Curse this indecision, curse this terror that grips me tight.
I need the strength to move on, to move fowards or backwards.

I can hear it in the distance, the footfalls of something evil.

why not just get a restraining order?
