Array ( [sid] => 148255 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Lost and lonely smile [time] => 2009-03-01 20:57:05 [hometext] => I have had a writters block lately...so i sat in front of a blank page and this is what happend...it's really not very good but it's all i could come up with. [bodytext] => I can't remember how to smile anymore
I knew how a long time ago
But life tore away every laugh line
I was forced to learn how to paint.

I'm not sad, I'm just trying to learn.
I'm not mad, I'm just determined.
I'm just here, searching for my smile

I have washed away those false emotions
But they've been replaced with blank stares
I can't remember how to smile.
I can't remember how to feel.

I'm not sad, I'm just trying to learn.
I'm not mad, I'm just determined.
I'm just here, searching for my smile

I practice in the mirror sometimes
But I walk away, because I look rediculous
So now I'm begging god since he is so powerfull
I'm down on my knees, waiting for a cure.

I'm not sad, I'm just trying to lean
I'm not mad, I'm just determined
I'm just here, searching for my smile.

While I wait for god to answer
I'm going to keep searching
so if anyone sees a lost, and lonly smile,
Take it by the hand and lead it home.

I'm not sad, I'm just trying to learn
I'm not mad, I'm just determined
I'm just here, searching for my smile. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 354 [topic] => 43 [informant] => purplestary [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Now that was really nice and I enjoyed reading it. It would appear the writers block has disappeared.

You know... I get it, I really do. Both the block and
the truth and frustration in this piece. Why are
we all in such a bloody hurry to grow up? Because
inevitably when we get there, we've already forgotten
how to smile.

Nice piece and I too am glad your block has given
up the ghost for now. Thank you for sharing it!

Be well,
~Loende

if only you knew how brillant of a line that is, mind blowing...it might be just for me but nonetheless...still amazing.
