Time flies right by me.
Standing in the same damn place.
With a smile showing now and then.
Raining invisible tears.
Everyone guesses I'm alright.
Cause that stupid smile on my face.
Those few dumb laughs you hear.
All come in a price to pay.
Dying every moment I'm breathing.
Biting my lips from crying.
Holding myself in place.
Trying to break free from this place that surrounds me.
So days go by.
Everyone sees I'm alright.

Dying every moment I'm breathing.

There's a lot of substance to this short piece. You've hit the nail right on the head with how I'm feeling of late. Fabulous line there. Great job and thank you for sharing it with us all.

Be well,
~Loende

Great job capturing a state of mind with few words!
I can relate as I wear that mask way to often.

nice write of inner struggle.
But always remember, sadness only makes one desire happiness.

Oh and I would like to add one more comment

And just like a "beautiful lie" wants to tell the "ugly truth".
