The night chill over comes me
Out of the corner of my eyes
I see shadows moving in the darkness
I’m running away, but I keep coming back
So much distress, all I do, is merely regress.
You’re Whispers in the wind
They are calling me in,
It will be my undoing,
The beginning ,
The beginning of the end.
Whispers in the wind
I try to pretend
This weakness won’t overextend.

I’m trying not to think about you and me
All the pain that you gave me.
It’s the essence of your heart
That makes my own bleed,
Oh how I plead, not this deed.
Why can’t you just leave me be?
You’re Whispers in the wind
They are calling me in,
It will be my undoing,
The beginning ,
The beginning of the end.
Whispers in the wind
I try to pretend
This weakness won’t overextend.

I sense you watching me
The night chill over comes me
Out of the corner of my eyes
I see shadows moving in the darkness
I’m running away, but I keep coming back

You’re Whispers in the wind
They are calling me in,
It will be my undoing,
The beginning ,
The beginning of the end.
Whispers in the wind
I try to pretend
This weakness won’t overextend.

I gave everything to you and me
Believe me I loved you, don’t follow me.
I have nothing left in my eyes.
The feelings I’m trying to suppress
Nothing to caress, my heart is a mess
Why cant you just leave me be?
You’re Whispers in the wind
They are calling me in,
It will be my undoing,
The beginning ,
The beginning of the end.
Whispers in the wind
I try to pretend
This weakness won’t overextend.

Song lyrics? Kew-el. Gots some nice rhythm goin' on there.

Anyway, I really like it and it was as if I could hear the melody in my head.

Need a drummer?

Anywho, like what everybody else said (assuming this is based on truth & the here and now).... hang in.

Take care,

Tim

Wow....this whole piece is such an emotional write, and one that I'm sure all of us can relate to one way or another. Personally, for me, the above lines grabbed me. Lost love, is the heaviest of burdens that you can't quite get your shoulder under. Great job. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Be well,
~Loende

Breathtaking imagery, a natural flow. You have a great talent. Thank you for sharing this and giving others, such as myself, a chance to get lost in the words that express the pain felt when a love is lost.

If you find the time, I've posted my first true attempt at poetry, entitled THE END. I'd appreciate any feedback or comments. Thank you and keep up the good work, I've truly enjoyed reading your poems.
