[bodytext] => My three year old grandson is coming from England; This generates in me waves of excitement and happiness, As I see him after agonisingly long wait. Hurriedly and meticulously I plan, To amuse him during his sojourn. I ‘ll take him to places around, Tell him stories from the Hindu mythology, abound; Oh, come my grandson, I am here, waiting and longing To share my love with you, To play with you like a child; (Never mind my declining age, please!) To buy loads of toys and Scoops and scoops of ice-cream for you. ** ** ** And finally you arrive, My joy knows no bound; Ready to spend my ‘life time’ with you. Suddenly I realize there is something amiss, Oh! We are unable to communicate. I hardly understand your Heavily accented British English, Nor you are comfortable with my ‘englibish’. How sad, there is insuperable barrier in between us! Whatever you say, I simply nod like dumb cattle, All my hopes to share my love crashed, And my dream castle shattered into pieces. We are worlds apart, I painfully realise Our relation is for name sake, In reality, it never existed. Oh my dear grandson, Thou’ you share my blood and genes, How sad I am to say, you are an alien.
