He said I had the most delicate fingers
And now whenever I lick my lips
The taste of his sweat still lingers

I hacked at my wrists til I saw a bone
'cause mummy and daddy said I was destined to be alone
With eyes like that you'll never get a boy
Thats funny. I laughed. Why would I need another toy?

Once an old man commented on the way my
Hips stuck out when I walked
He said I was doing it the wrong way
And God forbid the proper way was never taught

So he snapped my hips in half
It hurt, a little. I laughed. I laughed.

Have you ever heard a bone snap?
It makes the most delicate, yet shaky sound
Like when you pop a blister?
And all that blood comes tumbling out!

Can I tell you a secret? It goes like this
Sometimes when I straighten my hair
I put the iron against my lips
It burns the life out of them
I just want to be a burn victim...

I like fairytales and lullabies
And razorblades and butcher knives.
I'm a two headed girl with a mechanical heart
Who was never taught a god damn thing
.........except my delicate fingers.....

Touching indeed. That's all I would say.

Ammar.
