Umpteen stars filled the charcoal black sky
Standing alone in her window, she at once sighed
Fell across a shooting star with a bright streak of light
With eyes closed and fists tied a wish flied ..!

Next morning she felt engimatic,
Something had happend and she wasnt static..
With her shoulder coalesced soft feathers
And her wish to fly had changed the weather..!

Eclectic feelings came in her mind
Puzzled heart was happy and dazzled..
She opened her windows and waited no more
A deep breath & a jump in the world abhorred..!

Fresh and redolant was the atmospheric layer
She was far away from a world where no one cared..
Entwined her wings and immaculately swirled in the air
In love with the breeze which was soothing and fair..!

She was unaffected with the happenings on earth
And adored the freedom devoid of all concerns..
She thanked the wind for flowing in her direction
Just to enjoy life was her plan of action..!

Stared talking to the birds of diffrent species
Singing and dancing with them was a daily activity..
Flying through trees and making new friends,
She found someone like herself..!!

They were inextricable and madly in love
Flew to feral destinations but found no home..
Then one day they moved towards bright sunny light
Kissed each other and saw feathers burning upright..!!

Very nice, upbeat. Here, it seems that the exclamation after the ellipsis is definitely not self-defeating. It impacted me as if the line were read, it would be slow and controlled but still have energy perhaps through facial expression or gestures.

It might even be read angrily, in stark contrast to the rest of the poem.

How a poem is read can make all the difference, but it's not so easy to indicate it through only a textual medium.
