Array ( [sid] => 147915 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => daisy chains [time] => 2009-02-11 17:01:36 [hometext] => been a while since i done this - really just about postnatal/post partum depression (depending on wich side of the pond you live on) ENJOY!!! [bodytext] => As i sit up here and watch the lady down below
I feel her restlessness beginning to grow
She was once ambitious with the world at her feet
Yet here she is now, admitting defeat
For she never anticipated that her world would turn
She had what she wanted, for what could she yearn?

I watch as she weeps whilst down on her knees
Yelling “go away! Wont you go away please?
your bottle is full, your nappy is dry,
must you continue to scream and to cry?
I am trying my hardest, i’m doing my best!
I love you so much but hate you at best”

With a wince on her face, caused by her own words
She corrects her vision that her tears blurred
Now she is taking the stairs two to one
To come to the aide of her newborn son
She showers him with kisses, holds him with her might
And whispers “please baby, just sleep through tonight”

She sneaks away, so run down and blue
Little lady there must be someone you can talk to!
How about your best friend? You trust her the most
Or is she too a mother fulfilling her post?
Your family members promised they would be there!
Oh, the novelty for them has passed, just live in despair

No one will notice if you keep it quiet
They don’t need to know about these riots
You see, when you have these moments of doubt
Your mind cannot cope so it tends to leap out
And while you were tortured with hurt and pain
I was sat on the grass making daisy chains

I will come back, but you need to be strong
Only when you are whole, can i belong
Just shout to the heavens when it’s over
I will come back carrying a four leaf clover

You have done it on your own, yes you sank
But if you ask for no help you have no one to thank

I'm sure there must be so many occasions where you just want to either scream or run away.It can't be easy coping when people can't understand what you are going through
It will be worth it in the end though !!

Nice to see you back here

Steve
