No more pink remain
All good plans and wishes
Now unruly slain

Perhaps I should have offered
Her red & green frogs instead
Then perhaps the night
Could have ended in good stead

To hold her hand and cuddle
Or even a slender kiss
The scent of her passion
I now really miss

No more jelly beans
Neither pink, green or red
We have now parted
So I am off to home for bed.

Explain the jelly beans?

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
