[bodytext] => • People are never what they appear- you really can't judge a book by its cover.
• No matter how well you know a person, they are a million times deeper than you realize.
• At their core, all people are basically driven by the same things.
• PEOPLE CHANGE!! Sometimes for good, mostly for bad.
• Sometimes, the way you remember something is more important than how it actually happened.
• Never, ever, ever throw away memorabilia. Ever.
• I think that when I look back, I can see many times and places where I was the very thing I hated, even if I didn't always realize it at the time. Shame on me if I did.
• My one regret: I should have kept a journal those ten years. A real one.
• God is love, and only in prayer and worship have I ever felt complete.
• Poems always sound better when written in the second person.
• Christmas is way too great to be restricted to one day a year.
• Real life is not always conventional. Sometimes God uses crazy stuff to push us along, and that's OK.
• No matter what, no matter what, no matter what, there is still order and meaning in the universe, and there will always be love.
• Legalism kills the usefulness of anything it touches.
• Sometimes, even when we know which path is right, we will chose the wrong. I cannot explain this, but I am certain it is true.
• Death sometimes comes suddenly, and without warning.
• Poetry cannot be forced, it can only happen when it is lived.
• Lifting people up feels a million times better than kicking them down.
• Loneliness is an aweful feeling, a kind of emptiness you cannot fill. Not tv, not large crowds, not anything material can fill that kind of lonelines.
• Not every dream is going to play out the way you want it to. But pain subsides, the story rolls on, and a healing better than the dream itself will come.
• Two of the most powerful things you can utter with your lips are "Sorry" and "Thank You". A heartfelt apology, or gratitude, can do amazing things.
• You have to be brave. Those who don't take chances really do miss out. I don't regret a single failed chance I took, but I do regret many chances I failed to take.
• Sometimes things seem incredibly out of wack, but the truth is this: God has a bigger, better plan.
• Things almost never turn out the way we expect them.
• Not to sound really cliche here, but we can learn SO MUCH about proper living by following the example of children. Even Jesus said that!
• No virtue counts if it isn't accompanied with humility.
• Despite what the world says, the apple doesn't have to fall near the tree. God has given to each of us our own choice, and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
• Love, by its very nature, binds. Hate, by its very nature, divides. Therefore, love will always be stronger than hate.
• Many good intentioned people are sincerely wrong. Love them for their efforts, but don't swallow their pills.
• Middle school was not so bad. High School was kind of tough, but Middle School...come on!
• Sometimes, when we do make the wrong choice, we have to live with it. Usually God will give us a chance to repent and choose the good, but in some instances we must live with our decision until death. Although such poor choices can eat away at a person, I have learned that in the end, we can only work with what we have.
• What feels good is not always what is right. Most children, reaching for a shiny object, would choose a nickle over a hundred dollar bill. Use wisdom, not instinct!
• The world, it turns out, doesn't revolve around me.
• Age, as it turns out, really is just a number.
• Love is the only thing in the universe which, when divided, actually multiplies.
• The vast majority of my fears have turned out to be baseless. And of course, all the worrying never stopped the stuff that did materialize.
• People forget almost anything, given enough time. The only person likely to remember those things you want forgotten, is you.
• Small compromises always lead to bigger downfalls.
• If you pray hard enough, God can break through anyone's heart.
• Most things only make sense in hindsight. I think this is especially true when it comes to friends and relationships. Some of the people I was most afraid to lose, I now don't miss a bit, and some of those I thought so little of have turned out to be the truest friends of all.

And last but certainly not least...

• ...laugh if you will, but this is the honest truth: Miracles really, truly, absolutely, do happen ! ! !
