I was told was there from fourteen years old

I’ve become my father,
eyeglasses in every room, so as not
to waste precious time searching for them,
news paper & magazine articles stored in boxes
never to be looked at again.
Poetry thoughts written on backs of books,
scraps of paper, most times unable to be
deciphered by me once I get around to it.

I’ve become my father,
six pills a day, caffeine free coffee,
egg substitute, unable to work new gadgets,
rambling on, and on, and on.
Quietly waiting for death, of which
I’m not afraid of anymore.

Ahhhaa..I have become my father..
Presently I am also sailing in a similar boat.
these lines are true to my experience
"news paper & magazine articles stored in boxes never to be looked at again.
Poetry thoughts written on backs of books"
My wife never allows me to keep those papers n mags.. she sells them to the waste paper boys
who come evry month. She allows me to keep my valuable books only
which are in large number..kept in many shelves, boxes and even in sacs..
I never find time to arrange them properly..
I don't know what will happen to them after my exit.
Lovely poem I enjoyed this. venkat
