Hapless soul left for dying in the sun
Suffering lost love’s strongest allurance
Can what has passed be truly undone?

Ants come like time, taking portions away
Little by little, the rigor will fade
Robust life falls ashen and grey
Without you become an unwoven brocade

From that day to this no loss as with this
Corporal offering that others may live
Memories of that final last kiss
Naught left but thoughts to only relive

The crow does summon, its caw harkens fate
Forgiveness and love, it’s never too late

Yes, sad... isn't it? The political figures don't have to go into battle themselves... and if they did... this would be a much more peaceful world. Keep writing =).
