The pen had dried up
what little ink left is now frozen.
We got tanked in the ice,
blown in the snow
another big storm
the first of our new year.

The going was hard.
Nerves shot to hell.
No power for miles
the wind bitter chill.
Stuck in no mans land
everywhere you looked
a frozen tundra.

It spun us around
chewed us all up
spit us out.
Nothing to do but keep going
or try to get out.
Wheels spinning
lost traction
no end in sight.
Winters breath
the truckers plight.

Note: It began in Oklahoma, City with freezing rain, a huge thick coat.
Then a few miles down 40 it snowed over the ice, then it sleeted and more freezing rain.
The power was out everywhere, cities pitch black, freezing cold, worst part of it.......
we were empty! I wont tell the rest it would scare everyone.
We made it out alive and are in Utah awaiting another big storm to hit in the morning.

Girlfriend,
Your guardian angels are always with you, seen or unseen.
I too am very happy you're o.k.
awesome writing too.
Thank God for answering prayer.
The ice didn't get to my part of Arkansas. I intentionally ask God to not let it cold rnuff to freeze our buntches of rain. Ofcourse he full filled my request. Also you are always in my prayers.
Blessings, luv, safety,
emy
