impulse driven.
clever little weed. . .
insinuating yourself
between being & sanctity.
your root. . . a cauldron lesson.
what midnight fire shall burn
the spell from callous haste
& savage trigger?
lest, we turn. . .
upon one another
in torrid atmosphere.
where shall you find your rest?
among the thrones of nafes
& graves of fear,
no less.
once discounted. . .
discontent only brings despair.
in smoke & ash, you petition
powers' pledge & wares.
you seek to waste,
to weave solace
in death tolled enemies.
rubble bound,
defensive ground,
dry brittle legacy. . .
who among us will take notice,
understand controls' illusion
within its' tiny seed?
this sowing of our destruction
a paradox that bleeds.
you call yourself
the truth. . .
but relentlessly deceive.
the truth will come a 'calling,
not bound by word or deed
& ripe with subtle evidence
the masses may find peace,
free of you. . . finally

I rarely and I mean rarely ... :-) read war poetry but I had this feeling that coming from you it would most likely be very enjoyable to read and hey, I was right.

This in my humble opinion seemed to have a hint of a Shakespearian affect on me. I could hear the voice of the actor strongly reciting the words with urgency as they captivated me from beginning to end.

Kew-el !!!

Glad I dropped by.

Tim

this is possibly the most beautiful war poem i've ever read. it carried me away actually. some magical language and well-expressed metaphors made this a real treat to read. great work.
