Whiskey Dreams and Memories

Topic: Lifepoems

I am tired coming back here alone
Having whiskey dreams and memories
I try to be a normal one
But that is me acting, not who I really am
I see you across the bar
Dancing that dance I see on TV
Order another drink to kill the pain
Is it wrong of me to feel this way
I hate the fakers and players
Would feel the same if you saw through me eyes
Another shot of liquid courage
I walk up and say hi, and we talk
But you are gone and out there doing that dance
So I order another drink and try to forget
You look at me again and smile
But I just sit back and watch you talk to guys
Order another drink to kill that pain
I hate this play that I find myself in
Why do my friends continue to push me to change
Saying that there is something wrong with me
These feelings are starting to compound and way me down
I want this all to end
Another shot to make it all go away
Why am still here sitting at the bar watching you
I hate it all
Damn it all
F**k it all
Order another drink cause I’ve already started
See you dancing with that guy from across the bar
Drown this pain in another drink
I am a social ghost
An anomaly of man
I don’t feel the same as other people do
I don’t act the same as all of you
These days of a fog of whiskey are endless
I can’t seem to escape
WHY!
WHY!
Can I kill this person inside and live a lie
Can act like all the people I watch
Or should I sit back and enjoy the show.
I do not know
But for now I will close my eyes and enjoy these whiskey dreams and memories

You painted an incredible verse here. Vivid and descriptive write, I enjoyed this.
