[bodytext] => For C____ Nightingale that sings through my nights Precious, fragile, wing'd, That calls through my winter souls blight A halo around you ringed. Your company calls me to sing Then Harmony abounds, hope holds your angelic sound. In my fiery fury Vulcanite I burn Till, wrapped in your wings I learn So much aflamed, you're the slake of my thirst. Resplendant in the anger of my sins burst, Like Satan before the fall I see not even thee, thy call, nor your wings be singed, nor burnt. My nightingale of delight In your beautiful flight Even the violence of my sleep & dreaming Does you no harm nor afright. How is this so? When twixt our eyes at meet That always an ember heart glows. Yet quenched, yet no, not extinguished. It is in the soul of the song, Of your eyes that I rest, I'm finished.
