The truth is she was born into a broken world
that has forever bound her in chains.
Everyone learned she was just one tortured soul
that needed and couldn’t find an escape.
But after they learned the reasons for her mask,
her smile,
they understood she has become a survivor.
So now people have empathy for her
and look up to who she has become.

I also agree that this poem is powerful.

My next thought was even broken, a butterfly is enthralling. The saga of a butterfly is amazing.

It sounds like (she) is an amazing person.

Keep writing!

Kie
