but isn't it delightful?
We finally made it to Portland.
Let it snow let it snow let it snow!

Our tree lit up in the big truck.
All the truckers been fighting stormy weather.
Chains and closing roads,
but that wont stop the seasons cheer.

As long as we are all safe.
Warm and have a bite of food.
Life will be just fine
Christmas isn't blue.

Some of us are spending the day in a motel
snowed right off of the road.
Others sitting in a truck stop
and all sharing truck stop food.

It is the season for laughter.
A few phone calls towards home.
Some of the truckers never got there.
So they are out here alone.

Winters Christmas arrival,
a white Christmas near and far.
California to Las Vegas
worst storm to hit Oregon and Washington in 40 years.

Santa has a place to ride his sleigh.
Kids and everyone out for extended snow day.
Merry Christmas is in the air.
We are tucked in the truck stop in Portland
Watching snow a flying in the air.
