The cool breeze on my face
As I unwind I forget
This wretched human race

The ocean slapping on the beach
As I wash the blood stain
Off my face and hands
It begins to rain

A sun shower a gentle reminder
Nature at it’s best
Draws a smile from my face
What a wicked test

No answers for the blood
Just the solemn feeling inside
Of something bad and good
As I watch the ocean tide

Sirens in the background
I suppose it’s for me they come
My smile broadens on my lips
I remember a tune and start to hum!

I simply do not make a habit of making a post on my own poems. But this one is just so weird and enticing, yet scary and morbid. I get scared that it came from me. I suppose because I can understand it....

It is not a place i go to often but occasionally I write from here.

I think it keeps me sane to realise that these can be the thoughts of a true psychotic.... or perhaps I have just read too many books

this poem is verging on suicidal. although i can understand it completely. the world can be a cruel, lonely place at times. good write though.
