When it comes to winter time.
It is the little game we play
beg or borrow another hill to climb.

Now Ms Winter paid us attention
and dusted the earth with crystal dust.
By glint a snowy wonder land
the roads is what we do not trust.

This motel room has become a friend.
A place to hunker down.
Now the big posts are up
the roads are closed right now.

California has become our spot,
now for several days.
Portland seems so far so far
yet we are not that far away.

The truck stop next door
is packed up to the hilt.
The motel is getting loaded with truckers
who want to call it quits.

So we are all in the same boat,
or out of the truckers luck per say.
We are stranded on the Caly side
wont be making it up I-5 again this day.

Ice and snow and freezing rain.
The interstates all closed.
Has the truckers in a bind
Christmas is getting close.

It is the game we play.
Oh Ms Winter we love you so.
We ask you one little favor
honey let up on that pretty snow.

We may need to find a different route
so we can all glide past those big hills.
If we cannot get a rolling soon
we are calling Rudolph and Old Saint Nick.

Greeting from the Days Inn in Corning, California.
Wont be leaving tonight its shut down.

Hugs

Very meaningful and beautiful composition on the pleite of truckers as well as all those that are unable to be with their loved ones when their heart needs it the most. and to have to suffer to boot it all under the inclemency of the winter temperature.

Thank you Michelle for thinking of them. What a big heart you have!

Thanks a lot for your beautiful card.
Love it so much. I am tied up awaiting delivery of a new printer. Old one kaputt.

Bessings and Joyous Christmas eason to you and your loved ones.

Love and peace
Elizabeth
