Around her the wind swirled magically
Arms to the sky she said her thanks
Turning she said good bye to the wind

She knew she had to go it alone
No help from zephyr or breeze
In the stillness she would face her fears
Alone she would walk the darkened path

To the forest she ran, her feet fleet
Over rocky hills and valleys low
To the spot she would meet her destiny
She would overcome and she would heal

The tree was gnarled and old
Long ago life had left its branches
She entered through a large hole
She walked and walked in circles

Then a shadow appeared
The darkness she held within
This was her time to fight
That which she did not want to face

Terrifying was the truth
For no one wants to deal
With their inner demons
This was her hour, her time had come

She would leave here
A woman whole and loving
Or in shambles
A babbling idiot

Will she make it alone?
Or will she be sorry?
She said goodbye to the wind
The answer remains to be seen
