Full Circle

Topic: LovePoetry

The day is done and night has come
And all that’s left for me to do
Is lie upon my lonely bed
And spend my nights in dreams of you

The day we met, I’ll not forget
The tender kiss you gave to me
It’s mine until the day I die
Dare say, for all eternity

Your hand in mine, so little time
There is to show the love we see
A bitter tasting fruit of love
Yet sweet, for it was meant to be

But it comes on, the waking dawn
To rouse me from your tenderness
A lonely sigh begins my day
With longing for your gentle kiss

And so I live and always give
My heart and soul to loving you
Tonight I know I’ll dream again
About the day it all comes true
