His head is down
And the trail so long.

Nothing walks beside him
He seems to be alone
Other than a shadow
For it is all he has known.

As he walks along
So mysterious and alone
The shadow beside him
Has seem to have grown.

He doesn't understand
Why the shadow,so grim,
Only continues
To keep following him.

He looks into a puddle
That lies on the ground
To see that his reflection
Is the shadow, so abound.

As the terrible creature
Stares back at the man
He stood up tall
and turned back around.

As he walked through the darkness
through the dead, lifeless trees
Over a hill
He feels a slight breeze.

He sees the sun
As it starts to shine
and as he looks back
The shadow is but an angel so divine. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 183 [topic] => 13 [informant] => iloveedwardcullen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

First welome to our global family here at ypdc.
This is a fantastic write.

He sees the sun
As it starts to shine
and as he looks back
The shadow is but an angel so divine

Didn't expect this ending but that's only one reason it's a fantabulas write.
Huggs, smiles, blessings, welcome,
emy

Finally, I knew I wasn't the only one who writes like this =). Great write, I liked the ending too. You structure your poem almost the same way as I normally do mine. Good job =P.

I knew as soon as I started reading that there was something different about that shadow
Nice work
