Standing before me you are as the dusk of an endless day, the ebbs of a vacant sea, you are as sunlight standing at the waters of a storm, the folds of a fresh rain cast madly against the remains of a drifting shore.
Your love for me is as a shadow cast along the edge of a dying star, a lily in the midst of failing gardens, I bid you once again, depart from me, for unto the thoughts of my own self I am reviled, despised, and your love for me is an injustice unto itself.

Depart from the threshold of your heart, you say, but I am the rain divided at the opening of an awkward bay, searching the strength of the coming tide, scattered across the jagged and uncertain stone of your heart, uplifted and thrust into the depths of your sorrow.
You are the untouched valley, the mountain diminished in time; you are the majesty of an open sky crusading across rivulet and brine, the horizon of an empty day, and I cannot depart.
My love for you lay bound in the pages of the world, drawn at the waters of the rivers of heaven, stoked on the wings of the sun, and I cannot depart.

Open door—uninvited guest, cast down your servile hands, depart from the threshold of my heart; for I am undeserving of your consideration, your admiration for me is unduly owed, let your love for me diminish, renounce your affection for me, and depart.

Your love for me is as a shadow cast along the edge of a dying star, a lily in the midst of failing gardens, I bid you once again, depart from me, for unto the thoughts of my own self I am reviled, despised, and your love for me is an injustice unto itself.

As always, Abraham...this is stunning. I always look forward to your posts and you did not disappoint. I especially liked the last line:

"My love for you lay bound in the pages of the world, drawn at the waters of the rivers of heaven, stoked on the wings of the sun, and I cannot depart."

That just made me sigh... Great write and thank you for posting it.

Be well,
Loende
