She shuffled through the murky night
her heart pounding with all its might
and within the pain she trudged on
in hopes her heart would find voice and song.

Winds whispered her name, the rain turned to ice crystals.

Formed pain near her heart
sitting heavy as a stone
tears that would flow no more
as in a barren waste land she roamed.

Sitting near the edge of her bitterness…

A glimpse came from the ashes
and her souls reflection rippled.
A voice from the darkness thundered….
“Stand and walk from where you came”.

The snow called her name…..

“You are the seed, that brings forth birth
the goddess of the night.
The beauty that is abundant, look and you will see.
An ever flowing river of life, the magic is inside of you.

This was really thought out and presented well. I enjoyed reading this poem about finding the magic within oneself. It is a stumbling block within us all to not see that sometimes what we feel is a curse is actually a blessing. Great job to both of you.

tremendous write, the description in here is amazing. the opening stanza is a cracker and the poem carries on from there. four stanzas of beautiful fluidity rounded off with vivid imagery. just superb. 5 stars from me.

A nicely woven piece which is bittersweet; beautiful.

I really love this line: Sitting near the edge of her bitterness .

A very lovely co-write but am embarrassed to ask "who is reckless?" Sorry.

Kudos to both of you.
