wishing that it would wash away your pain,
feeling like you've hit a brick wall,
crouching down you feel so small,
cannot escape from the voices in your head,
each one reminding you of the past which you dread,
then tears stream down your face,
you don't want to go back to that place,
where your hearting is breaking,
and its seems everyone is taking,
just searching for one face in the crowd,
but it is nowhere to be found,
and you realise your still walking in the rain,
wishing it could wash away your pain.... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 245 [topic] => 32 [informant] => puppy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

it's short, sharp and powerful. i particularly like this bit:

cannot escape from the voices in your head,
each one reminding you of the past which you dread,

i can relate to that, as i'm sure can many people. great poem.

Oh charlie so sad for you that you are having to deal with this. The past is gone you can move on,new people new experiences.Times to precious to waste it crying.Just love the imagery of the rain and darkness well written.Lilymae

I didn't enjoy it Charlotte
But then again, I don't enjoy
the pain of anyone, least of
all my 'lil sister:)

I know your going through a
tough patch in general. I know
you'll come through a stronger
woman.

Love you
Conal

Ps. On a lyrical note, your poem
is sound, your use of the rain etc as
a metaphor I love. I just meant the
theme was not one that I could read
intellectually , enjoy and put aside
because I know this isn't fiction.
Ya'know? :) Talk to you soon
