She stares at me with her eyes of blue
spreading love with every glance.
I wake in the night full of joy and pain,
But realize it to be a dream and I strain and
strain-
To see where she's gone.

But I won't fear she will return.
She visits me every night, upon my mind she
lites.
Her talons piercing my fleshy gray matter.
Cutting deeper-
-deeper-
Untill she grips my soul and bleeds it of all
she considers to be worthless.

Into my soul seeps the knowledge of chaos
and insanity-
-which forever I will carry.

There's been a raven in my dreams of late.
She stares at me with her eyes of black,
spreading hate with every glance.
I wake in the night full of sorrow and pain.
And realize it to be a reality.

This is so true.... a person is always reaching towards something. Whether it be the person they think they'll die without, or for what they've lost now that the person they've longed for is finally in their reach. It's always something.

Come back little raven and bite my face
I've been waiting, endless waiting
Come back and bite my face

Come back little raven, decend your home
This is not then, it is not now
Come back, decend your throne

sound familiar? it's the lyrics to a Misfits song - Come Back. you should check it out if you haven't already. good poem, great description. the knowledge of chaos and insanity, you're telling me...
