In a land far, far away, (but a time not so long ago
because miles are measured in silence, and but time is absolute)
The maiden found, aghast, alas,
That there had been no scaly dragon.
Her captor which so long she railed against
In hopes of but lasting until the gleam of shining armor
And majestic stallion came to her rescue
Was, just as much as her knight,
Less than half the story.

And she realized, painfully,
That she had to shed her scales, (her armor),
Before she could crawl out of her fears.
And as the light streamed in, when the shadows
Lit the way, back into the light,

She found,
There was nothing behind her,

And she was not alone.

Agreed, emphatically even. I can't think of too much else to say.

Only minor nit-pick, the last line, "and she was not alone" seems to need a little more explanation, to me at least. It sounds like a contradiction, a little, but I'm not quite sure what it's saying.

Okay, I probably shouldn't say this but hey, I'm gonna because I have accepted that my mouth quite often gets me in trouble. Even my cyber mouth.

The very first line initiated an associative memory which was the sound of Star Wars music. :-)

I'm not quite sure what it all means but, yes indeed, it is quite a nice little story.

Thank you and take care.

Tim
