and remember the times
Read all of the letters
and remember the words
Gaze into my eyes
and remember the feelings
Feel the beat of my heart
and remember it once beat next to yours
Hear the sound of my tears hit the pillow
and remember that was once 'your side'

Forget all the times of need
being that they are now over
Forget all the saddened sleeps
being that they matter no more
Forget all the other voices
being that they are faceless conscience
Forget all of the desires
being that they are unattended fires
Forget all the confusion
being that it only makes things worse

Have fun with the time you have now,
but choose wisely those to spend it with.
Be sure that your love is not wasted.
Make certain not to leave behind,
those who chose to wait in line.

Think back always,
and love whole-heartedly.
Enjoy what you can,
and passionatley embrace the past.
Because you know-
that was your last,
very first true love.

The love we shared for each other then-
the pictures, letters, tears and smiles
will always be somewhere in your mind,
or hidden deep within your heart.

Hopefully one day
it will agian shine through.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
