Array ( [sid] => 146121 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Ending our decline [time] => 2008-11-05 07:31:41 [hometext] => My country, Pakistan, seems to be going through a difficult patch. I think, more than anything else, this is due to the lack of patriotism among its people. [bodytext] => By disregarding the importance of the law
And punishing not the ones playing dirty,
We have created room for various crises and corruption
Not to mention the prevalent extreme poverty
This condition of ours is not at all fine
Let’s no longer be a nation in decline

Once, lives were lost and countless sacrifices were made
That bore fruit and led to this nation’s birth
So let us work and struggle for its prosperity
And to make this land the safest on earth
All other nations, we have the ability to outshine
Let’s no longer be a nation in decline

Let us abide by the true principles:
Having faith and unity, spreading peace and love,
Exemplifying courage, clinging to religion
So that all our weaknesses we are well above
Between freedom and indiscipline, let us draw a line
Let’s no longer be a nation in decline

With all of us sincere to the cause of this country
We can put behind us the unfortunate days
When we were vulnerable enough to be threatened, dictated
So that now each one of us in the country says,
‘To protect its honour, the responsibility is mine’
Let’s no longer be a nation in decline
