I hope you see what you've done. [bodytext] => You declared war
we're all going to die
you declared war
and now we have to pay.
I don't see you over there fighting beside our friends and family.
But you declared war.
All the innocents that are going to die are your fault.
I hope you think about it
and can't sleep because of it
and when you do sleep,
I hope you have nightmares about it
about all the babies with out families
and the women with out husbands
and the little girls who lose their mothers
You declared war
It's all your fault
maybe you should stop being so trigger happy
and think about others for once.
Think about the "common people" it effects
because you declared war.
you killed these families
and tore them apart
you swept through the country like a tornado
destroying all the happiness

I guess this is your personal oppinion, as what I am about to say is mine.

You talk about women without husbands, but not in the right context. Everyday in Iraq, husbands and sons dissapear. They are killed by their own government. Women and young girls are taken to places called rape houses and abused by the government. I doubt very much that Bush is destroying happiness. War is never a good thing, but it is at times necessary.

Okay, I see where you're coming from. I would further press my point but I do not wish to argue.

In America, everyone is entitled to freedom of speech, of opinion - this is my opinion, which I know differs from what many people think about this war.

You speak of all who will die, these people chose to do this. As lame as this may sound it is their job to defend our country and our troops take such pride in that. I think the war is happening and now is not the time to disapprove, now is the time to back our servicemen and women and their families, since they are putting their lives on the line as much for you as for me. I heard someone ask last week which of us is expendable to all who disagree that we should fight this war against terrorists and weapons of mass destruction. Which city next? If it were yours, I believe your views would change.
Needless to say I did not like this poem.

people have been really harsh towards your poem... so first off... just commenting on how it was written u did a good job, it flows and i like how u keep repeating the line"u declared war" about the whole war thing i think we shouldnt be in war, however we are now and we cant back out... and for that person who said that people die or get raped in iraq, they should realize that many of the contraversial things happen in many of the arab nations, we just dont complain about it because we are not at war with them.... anyways im not going to write a paper on this... but in short good poem

who the hell is Bush to interfere in this countries way of living!!!i think we all know that america is the source of terrorism, abusing ,raping,killing,stealing...but just because it became a stupid habbit of urs, pple dont talk abt it, and that's exactly wat bush is doin:killing innocent irqui citizens and his own army and he doesnt give a ***** abt it , he's just waiting for the moment when everything is his , including their oil, which is the reason why this war is on...dont tell me its not obvious!!!i mean ,think of it ,how can we get peace by starting a war!!!makes no sence,he's just a sick man ,so Destiny ,he'll never feel sorry for the blood he'll shed, nor for the families he'll destroy in his country and others, and no he wont even think abt it , he'll sleep like a baby, insensitive number one terrorist in the world (obviously) and to fight terrorism(if that's his really point) i think he should start by killing himself,he'd do us a big favor and save the world from a contagious virus...

I have to say that I agree with the sentiment of yor poem. I do not agree with war either. I am from the UK and I feel angry becuase I feel that Tony Blair is being a lap-dog to George W Bush. I feel that we have all been dragged into a war that none of us wanted (I mean everyone, not just those fro the UK). I don't think Tony Blair or President Bush has reallt listened to their people.

As far as your poem goes, I felt that it was written sincerely and I liked it. Good work.

Okay....I understand where you're anger is coming from but when you're mad at what Bush does be mad at only him not my country because all of us who're out of the government have no say in the war.

okay....I agree with you we need to back out service men because they're doing their job. I back them 100% and beyond and I wish that everyone of them could return safely but it's obvious that will not happen. My poem was directed at Bush not our service men.

thanks for commenting on my poem and not giving me a speech about the war. I see where everyone is coming from and you also had a good point. As they're talking about how America is free they're bashing my opinion which I have a right to....but I'm okay with that. That's what the post a comment is for right? Thanks for your input

I also agree with this.... They're acting like they're going to war to protect the "common" people yet they don't let us give our opinions. And as far as us going to war because of all the womanizing and rape, well, we have that going on here so why don't we do something worth while instead of going to war. Such as, working together to find a cure for cancer or ending world hunger. Now those are some good causes.

Don't blame the service men and women for what Bush does.
