[title] => Turned without Motive

[hometext] => It's a villanelle with a lot of modifications. I abandon the rhyme scheme and iambic pantameter completely--and just keep the end line rules. I hope you enjoy.
[bodytext] => The paper lies, blank and expectant. Waiting, waiting for life, but sleeping in haze, and all too often is the pen turned without motive. The vapid calm lulls fervor, stopping it dead. Dead in the nature—dead as frozen current. Jailed emotion fuels those turbulent waters below a complacent, blank stare; and, sure as good enough has never become enough, too often is the pen turned without motive. Yearning to thaw, reaching its fingertips and still, nothing. Listless and wandering it knows jailed emotion fuels the turbulent waters to the fire. A cliché so loves luster: please welcome it with open, sneering arms. A sob, then too often is the pen turned without motive. Concentrate, and lose it all. The true, bright light blights form and eclipses rhyme. Need queries: too often is the pen turned without motive? Jailed emotion fuels the turbulent waters.
