I read some poems to ease the mind.
I’m amazed to see the emotions that flow,
Its art of the mind, like the hands of Mr. Van Gogh.
You’re drawn into the poet’s eyes,
And find exactly where their heart lies.
Piercing into their soul,
the thoughts of the inner take you under control.
Some pieces want to make you sing,
while others make the heart sting.
A few become special to you,
For they have touched you in their point of view.
I don’t know if you can ever describe the poet,
Sometimes they don’t even know it.
Without a sense of right or wrong,
there would be silence in every song.
They’re a very special breed,
They make you swing to the beat as you read.
Making the reader relate,
Or even a discussion in some forum debate.
But all that doesn’t matter to us at yourpoetry.dot,
We will sail with you, in that state of thought.
So my friends just keep in tune,
Inflate the dreams as if a giant balloon.
Keep taking us places we have never been,
Just like Twain did in the story of huckleberry Finn.
I end this poem, like popping a dream with a needle pin.
Thank you so much for your threads, from a poet named ~ Bin~

I end this poem, like popping a dream with a needle pin.

Ow, man, that really hurts! ! ! ;-)

I love this poem and it had me smilin' from beginning to Bin, uh, I mean end. No really, seriously, this poem was very refreshing to read, especially since I was in bit of a bad mood when I signed in to post. Tis a great job you did here and I really enjoyed reading this.

Take care and thank you.

Tim

I must say, I am entirely unimpressed with this poem. While its premise is, I suppose, noble, the awkward attempts to make it rhyme are in need of serious editing. The lengths to which you go to make this a "poem" by making it rhyme completely undermine its flow, ability to communicate, and respect for the speaker. Lines like "...yourpoetry.dot" and "Just like Twain did in the story of huckleberry Finn" simply fail. Tributes are hard to write; nevertheless, you could easily do better.

Duct tape thanks for your comment, I realize its not the best work...to be honest I have never thought much of my writing anyways.
But the intention of the piece was to let the other poets/poetess's know that I respect there work on this site even if its not the masterpiece in others eyes,
its all about the meaning of the poem. Like I said my intention was not to impress anyone.
Thanks ~Bin~
