I give you my shoulder so you may rest your head here
Thanks for your offer, I appreciate it, my dear...
Be silent so the only sound is the beating of our hearts,
Let's stay this way until it is time for us to part.....

This is so relaxing, I am thankful you are near.
I believe I want to spend eternity right here.
With you my worries I can cast away.
I know you will never have a mean thing to say.

Your words are sweeter than music to my ear
I have enjoyed your friendship for many a year
What more can a girl ask for but eternity
My friend, you have indeed made me very happy.

As our souls unite on this magical day
Let no person ever take it away
For we have achieved that, of which others only dream
While the embers from the fireplace dance and gleam

The memory of today, nothing shall erase
Sit with me again beside that fireplace.
What better way is there to end your birth week?
Than spending time with you cheek to cheek.

well written this is the second team up poem i've seen and once again the pair seems to write good poetry when they write together as well as when the write apart
I liked it because it expresses your friendship very well

Thank you Jenni for being a friend and an inspiration. I enjoyed rhyming back and forth. As I gain each year, life gets rougher. I am that much more grateful for every friend I have in my circle.
