I look in the mirror to see me
who I am
But it is only when I dont look
when I pretend I dont see
is when I am truly revealed
So close its like dividing bones and marrow
Yet so far from anything that resembles a reflection
When Im just living and reacting to everyone
is when I am truly myself...right?
Or is what nobody else sees, my heart
the one who takes the beating of my actions
who I really am.
Or does that simple fight decide what I will become?
I live for today and I fight for tomorrow
and somewhere peace became a casualty.
When every decision becomes a stand off
what happened to second nature?
When every action is a battle lost
how can I say "thats just who I am"?
Because what if it was I who lost.
I know who I am in Christ.
I know who I was in sin.
But I never thought I would have to kill Me everyday.
Or it would kill me everyday.
No matter how many times I have to die
or how many battles I will lose.
I will never give up the hunger I have to love
and do good. And thats who I am.
A loser who will never stop fighting until I win.
Because I am forgiven.
And hell itself cant stop me
because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world!
the only one who can stop me...is me [comments] => 2 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 21 [informant] => shizzle [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
