So what now?
When we fall and trip in front of the ones
who watch and wait for mistakes to be made.
Who wants sympathy from people who couldn't care less?
I can't get past this, it's like no matter how hard I try
I'm not good enough.
It's the impossible goals that keep us growing.
My thoughts get caught in my head
and my words get smothered by my insecurities.
I know who I am and why I'm here.
But even with purpose I can't figure out
this old man trapped inside of this boy's heart
even though I know why it beats.
We all fight our own battles and struggle in this war we call life.
When I look in the mirror I see a promising future
obstructed by my present failures.
I wish I could get this out.
Have you ever had a passion you couldn't tame
and a thought you wanted to put in words?
I don't want it to go away just to get it out
in hopes it will never leave
but that someone will be encouraged.
Why do I feel it's never enough?
My frustration begins with the struggle
between my words and my thoughts in the foggy battlefield of my mind.
My own will and my choices are not the same.
And so what now?
I press on because I am forgiven
and I am not perfect.
I will not be moved by this world but It will effect me.
