[hometext] => I couldn't really come up with a good title for this poem. It was all kinda written on one early morning while I was out for a smoke.
[bodytext] => ~*~ Standing out in the winter cold, Dawn at bay, painting the sky with gold. Its rays touching the tip of my toes, Its warmth easing down my woes. I look to the horizon, In hope for a brighter day. I know I must go, I just wish there was some other way. But the bed is colder than this winter breeze, And this loneliness is becoming an infectious disease. I can feel I’m not wanted anymore, And I know you just want me out that door. No longer do you sing to me, Songs you could put unspoken words to. No longer do you hold me tight, I guess its cause you have found someone new. I remember coming home to lighted candles, And surprising red roses at the start. I remember never-ending kisses, I just don’t know how that all fell apart. …I know no longer will I love you, Since you don’t love me so. I know I need to forget you, And to just let all of this go. The sun now higher in the sky, And no longer these tears for you shall I cry. Its rays melting away my sorrows, Finally, another day, another ‘morrow. ~*~ [comments] => 2 [counter] => 256 [topic] => 52 [informant] => Rage [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )
