desperate, wordless, endless
like she isn't sure that I'll be here at tomorrow's end
when the noise and bustle that she hates so much
is gone.

she sings to me--
In the crickets, with the winds and shivers
Because she's so scared that we forget
That every moment counts.

she pleads with me
My shadow, dancing, looming into nothing
And when I look back, it's so clear
That the silent are forgotten
(For time is darker than any shadow's cast)

And I dream of her
As fleeting as the butterfly
For all I have are fantasies
Of what Tomorrow may be.

Oh, it you. Well this is priceless and breath-taking.
Love the shadow metaphor, the longing, the point about time is precious, i was there with nature and the sounds. You set the stage beautifully,.
It had a story, a picture, a point and a beginning, middle and an end- all things I strive for in a poem,
but most of all the sense that a real human being wrote the words.
You have the gift.

Ah, dreams of tomorrow and to forget of yesterday's past. A beautiful dream you have written about here.

Thanks,

Tim
