It doesn't shine on anger.
It forgets how to hate.
It does not have to yell for you to feel it,
to gaze upon it with wonder and admiration.

The moon is in LaLa Land,
Shining on the lovers
With the oceans between their fingers.
It gets too tired of giving endless light
To high horsemen who will never dismount for the night.

The moon is in LaLa Land
It does not get jealous when you fly beyond it,
aiming for the stars.
It encourages you to reach further.
It always offers a place for the tired to rest
and for lovers to sleep in it's craters.

The moon is in LaLa Land,
and it invites you there always.
There is not waiting list,
There is no entry fee.
It only asks that you unpack your troubles,
They aren't needed where the moon has relocated.

The moon is in LaLa Land,
It doesn't choose to reflect only on your faults,
but gives you the right light to be bigger than you thought you were.
Whatever rhythm is in your heart,
It will always accompany you in it's eternal dance.

The moon is in LaLa Land
and is finally free. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 65 [informant] => foxxylady852 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

extraordinary poem. it just touched me deeply. its fantastic to see that you have come through it a stronger person. even though this poem was clearly written with a great deal of emotion it is remarkably well controlled, you are quite a talent!
