Words fly from your mouth so easily...
Awake I ask the question,
And have done so repeatedly...

The question of you,
And your comittment to me...
You swear upon our child,
Of absolutely no deceit...

Yet while you sleep,
You tell a tale...
One that while awake,
You wouldn't dare...

For the lies have been
Good n plenty...
As your head hit the pillow,
You tell all of your infidelity...

Shouting aloud,
Amidst a peaceful night...
Come with me Jen,
And all will be right...

Who is this Jen,
She is the other...
The one who allows you to be,
Her part-time lover...

Sleeping once again,
I hear a mumble...
You slipped up this time,
Beyond a stumble...

She'll never know,
You cry aloud...
Reaching your arms,
For the new love you found...

I listen closely,
As I lay by your side...
Knowing that while awake,
You live another life, full of lies...

You'll never know,
In the deepest of sleep...
The secrets you hold onto tight,
Have their time to speak...

Once I tell you of what I know...
You'll tell me sweetheart,
I would never hurt you so...

Ahh my darling,
Your consious so guilty...
You spoke aloud in your dreams,
Of your betrayl to me... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 189 [topic] => 33 [informant] => catalina [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SecretLove )

Betrayl is the hardest thing to wrap your head around. Nothing is as invasive as that. Nothing more painful. Nothing that leaves a deeper wound.
This makes my heart skip because I know that feeling. I know the acid taste in the back of your mouth and the loss of breath. The need to scream.
I am moved by your words and your pain..
Steve

A stab in the heart. Betrayal is a horrible
thing and is very unhealthy in a relationship.
Isn't it funny how the truth always comes out
in the end.
A painful & emotive write. My heart goes out to
you dear poetess.
*huge hugs*
dreamer
who wished so much that you didn't have to go
through this :-(
