Open highway a friend,
tire hum a long lost friend.

and we roll, they roll, we roll along the road together.

Big wheels and a glint into the sunset...............

We are all strangers out here.
Until the moment our roads cross then we are friends.
All have the common bond, big trucks and the road our long lost friend.

and we roll, they roll, we roll along the road together.
Big wheels and a glint into the sunset..........

Out running tornado's, dodging hurricanes.
We are all sitting in one of the two truck stops with power tonight in Houston.
The storm out did himself this time.

and we roll, they roll, we roll along the road together.
Big wheels and a glint into the sunset.........

Awaiting the call and the next load....... patiently wait before we roll once more.

Oh hun, this picture is breathtaking. It looks so calm and peaceful, though
your words speak of dodging hurricanes and outrunning tornadoes. (phew!)

What a life sweets! It sounds incredibly exciting and what beautiful
scenes (like the one above) you are witness too. ^_^

Wonderful post, hun. Hope all is well.
*hugs you bunches*

I had no idea you guys were actually in Houston. I knew you were close to the hurricane, but not that close. I am sorry I did not send my prayers and wishes with you guys. I love the poem and the picture is beautiful. I hope you guys find a better week ahead than the week behind. Keep 'em coming. You know I don't how many people out there are writing poetry about the trucker's life or the trucker's wife's life but you are doing an exceptional job!

SUPERB!

Glad to hear you are okay my friend.
You've had a pretty rough week dodging
tornadoes and hurricanes.
It's always a pleasure reading your work
and the photos that accompany each
piece are magical. Keep safe my sweet
desert princess. Happy truckin'
love & hugs from across the blue,
dreamer
